2018 CrossFit Open



Yes, it’s almost that time of the year! If you’re after a great challenge, the CrossFit Open is a global online fitness competition for people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. The best performing athletes in each division will advance to Regionals, and then the Games. But don’t let that fool you—there is no better way to get out of your comfort zone and have an annual benchmark of your progress than the Open.


Kicking off on 22 February, the Open will run for five weeks as follows:


18.1:

February 22-26

18.2:

March 1-5

18.3:

March 8-12

18.4:

March 15-19

18.5:

March 22-26



Registration for the Open begins on 11 January 2018 and you will definitely hear more about this from your coaches and see it on the Members page! For the last few years, CrossFit Torian has had by far the highest representation in the country and one of the highest representations in the world for the Open.


Anyone aged 14 or older can compete. All you have to do is sign up via the CrossFit Games site and log your score each week. Workouts are released each Friday mid-morning, and athletes have four days to complete the workout for the week and submit their score.




For the first time ever, there will be an official CrossFit Games app made available in late January, which will focus on your own personal performance in the Open.
